The Dogtra E-Fence 3500 is a high-quality dog containment system suitable for all dogs above 7kg. The Dogtra E-Fence collar is compact, fully waterproof and rechargeable, boasting a battery life of up to 3 months between charges. The collar also has a wide reach in correction strength, with low levels to suit small/timid dogs and a firm correction at the top of the scale for larger, stubborn individuals.

The powerful EF-3500 transmitter can cover any boundary size from a small garden bed or gateway, up to 40 acres with additional boundary wire kits. You can add an unlimited number of dogs to the system providing they are wearing additional Dogtra EF-3500 receiver collars.

How the Dogtra E-Fence 3500 Containment Fence Works

As your dog approaches the wire, they will feel a warning vibration from the receiver collar that lets them know that they will receive a static correction if they continure walking towards the boundary. If they ignore the warning vibration and continue towards the boundary, they will receive a safe static correction that reminds the dog to stay within the boundary/safe zone.

Setting the unit up:
The Dogtra E-Fence 3500 transmitter needs to be set up out of the weather and plugged into a power source - we recommend inside your garage, home or shed. The wire runs out from the transmitter and can be set up in any boundary configuration as long as the wire returns back to the transmitter to complete the circuit.

The EF-3500 transmitter emits a radio signal that is carried around the boundary by the dog fence wire and this radio field can be adjusted from approximately 30cm up to 2m from the wire to best suit your property and the drive of your dog.

Training is the most important part of setting up an electric dog fence. Proper training ensures that your dog understands the exact boundary limit and that they must retreat from the fence line when they hear the warning tone. Learn more about training your dog here.

Collar receiver info:
The collar receiver has 8 levels of static stimulation. Level 1 being the lowest stimulation strength and Level 8 being the highest stimulation strength. When fitting the collar on your dog, set the collar to level 1 and walk your dog towards the boundary wire. If your dog doesn't react to the stimulation when they reach the stimulation zone, walk your dog back to the 'safe zone' and increase the collar to level 2. Continue this process, increasing the collar strength one level at a time until you reach a level that your dog reacts to.

Tip: Dog fence wire does not need to be buried under the ground to function properly. You can attach the wire directly to your existing fencing (excluding Colorbond/sheet metal) or secure it in the ground with fence staples.
